I am Pastor of New City Fellowship in Fredericksburg, Virginia.  New City Fellowship is a cross-cultural church. 

 

We have discussed racial issues for more than 26 years and will continue to discuss them.  Some in my congregation say we discuss racial issues too much; others say not enough. 

 

Though I see the importance of such discussions, I want to be actively involved in our churches and community helping to end the racial divide.  I joined “The Ministers’ Coalition for Social Change” to do more than talk. 

 

I want to help bring police reform, find ways to give minorities a bigger piece of the economic pie, and build closer relationships cross-racially with those in my community.
